AFC WIMBLEDON (HOME) - FIVE TALKING POINTS

21 April 2017

Stuart McCall's Bantams entertain AFC Wimbledon at the Northern Commercials Stadium this Saturday (22 April 2017) in City's final home match of the regular league campaign.

Ahead of the Sky Bet League One encounter, www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk takes a look at some of the talking points going into this weekend...

1. Play-Off place up for grabs
Following a busy period Easter, City now know that just one point from their final two games of the league season will be enough to secure a spot in the play-off semi-finals. Understandably, McCall's men will be keen to try and get the job done as quick as possible. Can the Bantams claim the positive result they need against Wimbledon this weekend?

2. Heroic home form
The Bantams go into this Saturday's match looking to keep up the best home form in League One this season. One more home fixture to negotiate in the league for McCall's men - can they maintain their unblemished record at the Northern Commercials Stadium?

3. We will remember, and give thanks
Given that this Saturday's game is City's last home match of the regular league season, the Club will be holding its traditional one minute's silence ahead of kick off to honour those affected by the 1985 Valley Parade fire disaster. The minute of silence will also give supporters the opportunity to remember any fellow fans we may have lost over the last twelve months or so. After the match, City's players and coaching staff will take part in a lap of appreciation around the pitch at the Northern Commercials Stadium, thanking fans for their tremendous support this season. This can only happen, however, if supporters stay off the pitch after the final whistle of the game.

4. Forward thinking
Last time out at Sheffield United on Easter Monday, McCall went with Charlie Wyke and Mark Marshall in attack. Alex Jones came on at Bramall Lane and showed enough enthusiasm to give the Bantams boss food for thought though. The City chief also had Jordy Hiwula and Billy Clarke as options from the bench against the Blades. With five possible forward options for the visit of AFC Wimbledon, what exactly will be McCall's plan of attack at the weekend? Monday's loss at Sheff Utd was the first time City hadn't scored in a game since 14 January at Shrewsbury Town. Can McCall's attacking options get the Bantams back among the goals on Saturday?

5. Magnificent Meredith
City left back James Meredith is set to play in his first game after being named in the PFA Team of the Year for League One. The notable achievement is fine reward for the Australian left back after another consistent season for the Bantams. Can the defender show more of his eye-catching form against the Dons on Saturday?
